We’re excited to share that Arkansas PBS has been named a finalist for 13 Public Media Awards (PMA) from the National Education Telecommunications Association (NETA) in the 54th annual competition! The Public Media Awards honor NETA members’ finest work in community engagement, content, education, marketing/communications and overall excellence.

Arkansans have many stories to tell and Arkansas PBS is proud to take part in sharing those stories. Because we're able to tell these stories, we’re excited to announce that we’ve earned a record 21 regional Emmy Award nominations from the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS)!

According to the educators here at Arkansas PBS, starting in the third grade, children are in a reading transition period. At this age, we transition from the stage of learning to read to reading to learn. This reading level is just as important as the reading development that is taught in kindergarten through second grade. In this stage, students are introduced to and comprehended more information than ever before. This is also where “reluctant” – better known as “undiscovered readers” – find their love for reading.

On Aug. 12, 2022, Arkansas PBS and the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA) wrapped up "Blueberry's Clubhouse: Season 3" with an end of summer celebration concert. As always, Blueberry’s fans and friends from across the state helped us end the summer with a bang! 

Is it already week six of “Rise and Shine,” our K-5 summer learning program with a curriculum that aligns with Arkansas academic standards. We hope that you learned a lot during the first five weeks!
