Annual program recognizes top high school assistant football coaches
CONWAY, Ark. (Arkansas PBS) — As part of its Arkansas Live initiative, Arkansas PBS will livestream the annual High School Broyles Award Friday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. from Hot Springs’s Oaklawn event center ballroom at myarpbs.org/arkansaslive.
Established in 2018, the Broyles Award added to its 25-year tradition of honoring the nation’s best collegiate assistant football coaches by creating the High School Broyles Award. This award recognizes the top high school assistant football coach in every participating state, projecting their excellence onto the national stage.
This year, 38 states will be represented by a high school assistant coach of the year. Current University of Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule will be the keynote speaker. A complete list of past and present recipients is available at: broylesaward.com/highschool.
