Education & Instruction Coordinator

Arkansas PBS is looking for an educator to join our award-winning education department as an Education & Instruction Coordinator. This position will join our team in developing online professional learning opportunities for teachers and other adult learners and creating standards-aligned classroom resources to accompany children’s programming. Prior experience using an online learning management system is preferred, as well as experience creating classroom resources aligned with academic standards.

This position works collaboratively with colleagues and subject matter experts to create, refine, and provide high-quality learning experiences and curriculum materials for the educational initiatives at Arkansas PBS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working on a collaborative team to create professional development for Arkansas teachers
  • Collaborates with Arkansas Department of Education personnel, video production staff, IT personnel, and subject matter experts during stages of course creation as needed
  • Assists team members in the course creation process by participating in peer review
  • Assists in the maintenance and upkeep of available courses and the learning management system
  • Accepts and provides feedback within iterative publishing processes
  • Collaborative creation of curriculum materials and classroom resources to accompany children’s programming
  • Ensures all resources created are aligned with appropriate Arkansas Academic Standards, are of high quality, and are published according to scheduled deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

The formal equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in education, special education, or a related field 
Three years of experience in a related educational or program field

Preferred Qualifications

Teacher Certification (current or prior) 
Experience utilizing Totara, Moodle, or other learning management systems effectively
