Moss Mountain Farms is always decked out for the holidays. While the theme changes each year, the canvas remains the same: fresh cut greenery. For P. Allen Smith, it wouldn’t be the holidays without the scent of evergreens, and when it comes to greenery, his favorite is the wreath. The circular shape and symbolism of everlasting life are particularly appealing to him, and he uses them in a variety of different ways. There’s more to be gained from a holiday wreath than front door decoration.
Wreaths can be used as centerpieces to add a pop of color to the table. Set a wreath in the center and embellish it with fruit, glass balls, pinecones – anything you have on hand. You can place candles, a bowl of more greenery or a vase in the center of the wreath.
Wreaths make wonderful gifts. You can personalize them to make them totally unique to the recipient, using green floral wire to attach various embellishments to suit whoever the gift is for.
Wreaths are versatile decorations that can be utilized both indoors and outdoors. P. Allen Smith makes sure that anywhere and everywhere has a chance to be decorated for the holidays, placing them on kitchen windows, footboards, gates and, of course, the front door. This Christmas season, pick up a few extra wreaths. You’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll find a use for them in your holiday decorating and gift giving.
