Making a Difference Together: We Invite You to Join the Arkansas PBS Volunteer Team
Volunteerism at Arkansas PBS
A key aspect of my role here is leading volunteer efforts. Volunteering plays a pivotal role in the success of any community-based organization, and Arkansas PBS is no exception. I am excited to build on what has already been established and to help cultivate more opportunities. With dedicated volunteers on board, we're better equipped to serve communities all over the state.
Join Us
No matter what your particular interest is, we've got an opportunity for you!
Looking ahead, we have our August/September On-Air Fundraising (aka “Pledge”) Nights. On these nights volunteers join us in-studio and lend a hand by answering phones during our live pledge events. Some volunteers can also help with operating the cameras and serving as time-keepers for Pledge (after some brief training). Pledge nights happen four times each year in March, June, August and December.
Other volunteer opportunities include our Family Day events in October and our statewide Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive in November. Family Day in particular needs a whole army of volunteers helping with everything from setting up tables and tents to face painting to serving healthy snacks for the kiddos. These events help serve the community and are really fun as well.
If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, we'd love to have you on board! Visit myarpbs.org/volunteer, (By the way, when you sign up, you'll receive emails through our Galaxy Digital volunteer database, so be sure to check your spam folder, and add us to your safe senders list so you don't miss any of our news.)
We're excited to welcome new faces to our volunteer team and continue making a positive impact together!
