Arkansas PBS is gearing up for the holidays with a full schedule of seasonal programs to help you celebrate from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve! We even made a handy holiday program schedule that you can save or print so you don’t miss a thing. A full list of Arkansas PBS programs, including PBS KIDS, can be found at myarpbs.org/schedule.
Highlights for this year include a marathon of “All Creatures Great and Small” on Thanksgiving Day, “Call the Midwife: Holiday Special 2024” on Christmas Day and “Next at the Kennedy Center: Cynthia Erivo & Friends: A New Year’s Eve Celebration.”
“All Creatures Great and Small”
Get ready for extra Thanksgiving Day fan-favorite helpings of “All Creatures Great and Small” with a marathon on Thursday, Nov. 28, from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you’re not too stuffed from Thanksgiving Day’s helping, the marathon continues at 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, and runs to 6 p.m.
Then, on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m., celebrate the heartwarming “MASTERPIECE” series with “All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas in the Dales,” which includes clips and behind-the-scenes memories of its Christmas finales. Experience the kindness, empathy and love in the magical village of Darrowby and the stunning Yorkshire Dales during the holiday season.
“Call The Midwife”
The nurses, midwives and nuns from Nonnatus House visit the expectant mothers of Poplar in the much-anticipated “Call the Midwife: Holiday Special 2024” premiering Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 7 p.m.
“Next at the Kennedy Center”
“Next at the Kennedy Center” wraps up the year with two holiday programs on New Year’s Eve: “Sara Bareilles: New Year’s Eve With The National Symphony Orchestra & Friends” Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 7 p.m. and “Cynthia Erivo & Friends: A New Year’s Eve Celebration” following at 8:30 p.m.
