PreK-5 students
“Rise and Shine” is an educational program aligned to state academic standards and designed to boost learning for PreK-5 students to mitigate potential learning loss during school breaks. The program – featuring lessons with some of Arkansas's best teachers – reinforces learning in key subjects including literacy, math, science, and social studies.
Learning Resources
Power Packets
Each season of Rise and Shine, Arkansas PBS provided summer learning booklets and additional resources to support and extend the featured video lessons of the broadcast! Each resource contains learning activities for students in grades K-2 and 3-5 as well as tips for how families might support their child as they work. Power Packets are available in both English and Spanish!
Little Lessons
Rise and Shine has expanded to include preschool! Little Lessons preschool booklets were created to support and extend Rise and Shine preschool video lessons within the broadcast. Each Little Lessons booklet contains learning activities in music, literacy, and math, as well as fun activities for the whole family. Little Lessons booklets are available in both English and Spanish!

About Rise and Shine
"Rise and Shine" began as an educational television program for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. "Rise and Shine" features video lessons with some of Arkansas’s best teachers, virtual field trip videos to amazing locations and organizations all around the state, educational music videos, and downloadable resources including Rise and Shine Power Packets, which are summer learning workbooks designed by Arkansas teachers that are available in both English and Spanish.
